Early Arrival/Late Departure Policy

The hotel’s standard check-in time is 01:00pm, and standard checkout time is 12:00pm. A request for an early arrival or a late departure will be subject to room availability. The hotel will try its best to accommodate such a request; however, it cannot be guaranteed. An early departure fee may be charged to a guest who departs prior to a scheduled departure date. The fee may be up to 100% of the confirmed length of stay. Please contact the hotel for more information.

Group Policy

* Group Booking will be confirmed with receipt of 50% pre‐payment at a deadline given by the hotel.
* The remaining 50% will have to be received by the hotel minimum 14 days prior to arrival.
* Single Rooms in Group bookings will be charged as Double Room Rate
* Cancellation of Group bookings are subject to Cancellation Charges for Group as mentioned below,
* The Group Cancellation Policy would only be overridden if an Alternative Policy is given by Hotel.
* If alternative cancellation Terms were set by the hotel, the terms set by the hotel stands valid.

Group Booking Cancellation Policy
* Cancellation Made 21 Days Prior to Arrival ‐ NO Charge
* Cancellation Made Less than 21 Days Prior to Arrival ‐ 100% of Entire Stay will be Charged
* No Shows & Early Departures will be Charged 100% of Full Stay
* Cancellations made on the arrival date will be considered as no‐show
* Shifting of booking date & change of names after expiry of release will be considered cancellation.

General policy

We offer a "free and no commitment service" allowing you to reserve your accommodation at Planktons Beach for up to 14 days. This allows you to discuss, plan and finalize your holiday that your accommodation is already reserved for you. There is no obligation or charge for this service and any reserved room will simply lapse after 14 days if we have not heard back from you.

VISA - A free 30-day visa is issued on arrival for all nationalities. Guests must present a valid passport, a ticket to continue the journey out of Maldives and the Planktons Beach confirmation of reservation.

CUSTOMS - The following items are prohibited in the Maldives and will be retained at the customs service upon arrival: Religious materials offensive to Islam, idols (for worship), pornographic material, narcotics and psychotropic substances, arms, alcohol and spirits, pork and its by-products, dogs and dangerous animals. Please contact us for more details.

CURRENCY - All prices quoted and all transactions are in United States Dollars (US$/USD) at Planktons Beach. Please note that the hotel is not able to accept US$ notes from the 1990's nor any note that is damaged (torn, dirty, pen marks). This is due to the rules that the hotel faces with the Maldivian banks.

Currency Variations
Rates confirmed in USD are guaranteed in U.S. dollars when paid in U.S. cash. Payments made by credit cards at the hotel will be charged with an extra service charge of 3.5%, if paying by local currency charges will be based on the daily exchange rate used by the hotel. Currency conversions by banks or credit card companies in processing payments are not within the control of the hotel and are subject to exchange rate fluctuations.

TAXES - For all purchases and activities in the hotel, a 10% service charge is applied as well as a Goods & Services Tax (GST) of 12% (at Current rate) and subject to change without prior notification.

Extra Bedding Policy
It is our pleasure to offer an extra bed upon request in some of our room types. The hotel’s fee for an additional adult includes the usage of one rollaway bed.

ID Requirement
For security purposes, valid photo identification is required at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, passport, and proof-of-age card. Photo identification must also match the name that is on the reservation.

Noise/Disturbance Policy
Parties and private events are strictly prohibited in our guest rooms. Each room can accommodate up to three adults. To arrange an event, please contact hotel staff.
